The temple building is rising on the hillside — traditional Tibetan architecture taking shape. Now its shrine hall awaits three sacred 5.5 ft statues.
Sponsor a Statue About the ProjectEach statue can be sponsored in whole or in part — partial contributions of any amount are equally welcome, as is support toward the temple construction itself. Sponsors are remembered in the monastery's prayers.
Ngagyur Chungon Dolma-Ling, in Haldarkothi, Gumpa Makaibari (Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India), is constructing its new temple building. The structure is well underway — prayer flags already fly across the bamboo scaffolding as the traditional roof takes shape.
As the building nears readiness, the shrine hall must be prepared for practice and prayer. The carved alcoves that will hold the three statues are already complete, awaiting Lord Buddha, Guru Padmasambhava, and Chenrezig.
